savings account

It’s payday and I used up all my money and deposited them in my savings account. It feels good knowing that I have place to keep my money instead of spending it for unnecessary things. The past years I’ve always asked myself why I wasn’t able to save as much when I was earning more. Even if it would be just 500 bucks a month every pay day. After every year, I’d get depressed because I had nothing at the end of each year.

Now I promised myself that I’d open up an account for me to allot some money for savings. Even if I’m going to use the money some time at this year, at least I would be able to come up with a certain amount for use.

Currently, I feel like I can restrain myself from spending which is pretty good knowing that I have some limits and I can control the cash that I get. After going to different banks and ATMs to withdraw, I went to another one to consolidate all and save.

Now I’m broke again.

saving

Yes I am trying to save the money that I’ve earned and I believe I am in a good speed knowing that I’ve been hitting the target amount that I’ve set myself, so far. I have two planned trips outside the country and the budget that I promised is really way bigger than necessary.

But I don’t plan on spending all of it. I just want to make sure I’m prepared. Besides, I was already spending a lot in the previous year.

There was a point in time when I paid at least 16,000 bucks a month for loans and bills. I don’t know how I was able to survive it but I did. Blogging and earning extra income online really did help me. I’d go ballistic figuring out where I was going to get the money if I didn’t have blogging to help me out.

Now, I still have some ongoing debts to work on but I’m more or less, optimistic that I’d be getting somewhere out of this. Now I just need to continue this stride so I may achieve something.

I got my ATM card!

I finally finished one of my two loans and I can now breathe a little easier as I already got my ATM card back. It was taken by a loan shark so we could use the funds for a business. However the business didn’t really do well as expected and I had been paying for it for about 3 months and it was keeping me down for a minimal amount of time since all my salary would be used up to pay off those amount.

It’s really a good thing that I got blogging as a sideline plus some jobs at odesk to keep me full and have some small rewards for myself. If it weren’t for these online businesses, I wouldn’t know how I would feel when it came to seeing things outside the box. It helped me open my mind that somehow I am able to look for money and really find some in the process.

I got my ATM card back and I plan to set aside the money that I usually paid in order to save more.

saving up

Still saving up for the rainy days. I know I’ve been splurging a lot on travel and gadgets that’s why I need to tighten my belt and zip those pockets and stash the plastic so I won’t have to spend too much.

My colleague advised me to set up a separate savings account and then save a portion of my salary (starting with 10% probably) so I can see where my money is going.

I need to settle debts first though.
