need a break
My blogging jobs have become scarce and I’m now relying on odesk and my other employer to give me the extra moolah that I need. However I feel weak in most cases probably because I’m burned out with working too much.
My blogging jobs have become scarce and I’m now relying on odesk and my other employer to give me the extra moolah that I need. However I feel weak in most cases probably because I’m burned out with working too much.
I am swamped, as always.
I let go of one of my jobs in odesk. I had to, considering that I was losing sleep already and stress-levels were rising. I know I should’ve been more patient but sometimes the value of the product is being given lesser credit. But in totality, I just had to give it up in order for other opportunities to arrive.
I shouldn’t be counting my money as if I have it in my hands. But I can’t help it since the past few days weeks, I’ve been counting the money that I’ll be receiving from the different opportunities that I’ve earned. SocialSpark, Google Adsense, ODesk, Payperpost; so far, these are the only money-making avenues that I’m active in.
It’s a good thing I was able to finish some oDesk tasks right away. I couldn’t believe I was able to create 10 articles in 3 hours or so. While I was dropping entrecard credits of about 1500 sites, I was able to utilize the time of loading each page and then coming up with blog entries with some key words inserted as it’s the task that my employer assigned.
I’m still waiting for my money to reach a certain amount but it’s almost time for another cashout and I’m glad that somehow I’m able to come up with another payout. I wasn’t expecting that I’d be getting it sooner than I thought. Right now, here are the major sites that send me some extra money.
Darn it, the past few days, Odesk.com has been having some issues with it’s website that I find it hard to check out other job opportunities as well as update my profile for employers to check. It has been nice though that I already have a couple of jobs, I just need to finalize the 2nd one which hasn’t been giving a good time to do so because of their temporary problem. Sometimes it’s up, sometimes the server just goes out. Anyway, hope everything gets resolved soon.
One more article rewrite and it will be another set of tasks for the week. At least as of the moment, this odesk job is giving me some constant income that I can look forward to. It’s nice since it’s not that hard though I get to procrastinate in a way. I usually have to wait for the deadline until I’d be pressured to come up with an entry for the tasks. Anyway, I hope this goes through and it will be on a long term basis.
I received a message from a Buyer from ODesk asking me to quit my current jobs so I he could employ me to be part of his team. Apparently, we seem to have something in common and that is the love for travelling. He even commented that he finds my style of writing good. I would’ve wanted to quit but then I’m also obliged to fulfill my contract as I don’t have enough experience in oDesk and I’m still trying to establish my reputation. I had to turn that offer down since I also have a full-time job outside this internet world. Hopefully, I’ll be able to land a job in future projects with him as the interview email seemed very personalized which is one thing that most buyers, including providers lack in the freelance job industry.
Just had my first real interview, interview with a prospect employer in oDesk thru Skype. I hope I can nab this job. I haven’t been pretty active in this job marketplace because of so many reasons that turn out to be excuses. I hope I can work these things out as I’m saving and saving for the rainy days that are about to come. I’m not even that confident with my skills but I know I can learn. I just need the stamina to back my perseverance. Confusing but not really.
