break

Taking a break but my mind is still about work. Darn it.

I still need to hone my time management skills which I’m really having a hard time. I don’t have that much opportunities in SocialSpark nor do I have paid opportunities lining up for my blogs. I’m already inactive in Odesk and I don’t have any idea where to get more tasks — clueless, yes I am. Oh well, we’ll wait for time to bring back the work.

summer break I forgot it’s summer.

first odesk payout

and probably my last. I withdrew the amount that I earned for about two months from employers. Now, I’ve been inactive already and I don’t have any tasks because I’ve been outsourced by an employer who found me through my blog.

I don’t have time anymore to work things out in odesk. But definitely this is a nice marketplace to really earn money. I’ve a friend who made this her full-time job which is really great.

odesk withdrawal

For now, I’m balancing different jobs and I’ve been away from the blogging scene for quite a while already.

money: easy come, easy go

I’m supposed to create an entry to help out EJ start with odesk but I apologize I’m not able to update as often as I can. But I promise I’ll create an entry out of it.

I’m just upset in a way that money comes and goes so easily. Although it’s good that I know where it’s going, I just wish that it would stay in my hands for a longer period of time before it’s taken away from me for loans and bills.

I withdrew about 500 dollars from Paypal the other day and now it’s all gone. It’s hard to keep it in your hand for awhile. Now I feel like a real adult with families and kids. I’m trying to invest in something and I hope everything will push through. I’m crossing my fingers so give me 2 weeks.

need a break

My blogging jobs have become scarce and I’m now relying on odesk and my other employer to give me the extra moolah that I need. However I feel weak in most cases probably because I’m burned out with working too much.

This is the sad thing about Freelance work. If you don’t work, you don’t get paid. But I’m bent on going full time on this racket. I just need to take that big leap of faith. Soon, I’ll be going it though and I’m working on it to make the transition smoother. My options are flailing and I’m still saving. However, I forget that I have a lot of pending payments which includes my brother’s schooling to boot.

Ahh, the expenses don’t seem to add up properly and I’m not even spending a lot on things already. I’ve reduced my costs to be more practical and only spend on the necessities to have more meaning.

I just need a break.

list of things to do

I am swamped, as always.

  • Work on Vertical Blogs – I need to transfer product content to from one location to another. It will take some time for me to really recognize the merchandise. I know I had a stressful one when I transferred the first batch; imagine I have to transfer products with different batches in 4 other blogs.
  • Article Writing for oDesk – 10 articles focusing on one topic. It can be done; I just have to scout for more emails to insert the key terms
  • Blog Entry – I need to create a good article entry for the main site which is pretty draining as this will be my first major contribution on the actual site itself.
  • Update my 5 other Blogs – just so everything will have an entry for the week.
  • Spin Articles - ahh, I just have to submit this one to an article directory.

Sometimes I’m just thinking too much but I know I should get things done quickly and effectively in order to be more efficient.

quit a job

I let go of one of my jobs in odesk. I had to, considering that I was losing sleep already and stress-levels were rising. I know I should’ve been more patient but sometimes the value of the product is being given lesser credit. But in totality, I just had to give it up in order for other opportunities to arrive.

I haven’t lost hope and I know that someday, I’ll be able to hit the jackpot in this online freelance work.

counting money

I shouldn’t be counting my money as if I have it in my hands. But I can’t help it since the past few days weeks, I’ve been counting the money that I’ll be receiving from the different opportunities that I’ve earned. SocialSpark, Google Adsense, ODesk, Payperpost; so far, these are the only money-making avenues that I’m active in.

counting money

I should not count because if I do, I’m going to expect that it will arrive; which will give me the excuse to splurge the money that I have now since I will be reasoning out that I’m going to get something. I know it’s just self-control and discipline but then temptation is truly great.

I will lose the essence of living a simple life if I focus too much on it.

updating

It’s a good thing I was able to finish some oDesk tasks right away. I couldn’t believe I was able to create 10 articles in 3 hours or so. While I was dropping entrecard credits of about 1500 sites, I was able to utilize the time of loading each page and then coming up with blog entries with some key words inserted as it’s the task that my employer assigned.

I’m trying to find another template for this site as it seems that there are a couple of bugs that I want to fix but got frustrated in doing because of how many attempts failed attempts that I wanted to give up. I don’t have that much CSS and code skills but I do my best on what I can handle. But for this, I guess I’m just stressed out that’s why I need to take a break.

Anyway, I got a couple of emails from fellow bloggers who are also interested in making money online. I’m happy that somehow, I got to share my insights with them with the experience I’ve had. Although I don’t earn as much as professional bloggers, it’s good enough for me to sustain travel allowances and buying some extra gadgets on top of paying the bills and old debts.

So I better get to sleep, it’s the weekend and I will need to regain some strength and energy I lost out of working my ass off.

almost time for another cashout

I’m still waiting for my money to reach a certain amount but it’s almost time for another cashout and I’m glad that somehow I’m able to come up with another payout. I wasn’t expecting that I’d be getting it sooner than I thought. Right now, here are the major sites that send me some extra money.

  • SocialSpark.com – This is where I’ve been getting bulk of the cash these days. It started some time in June.
  • PayPerPost.com – Not really that much as my PageRank (which is their main basis for giving out opportunities) is not high.
  • ODesk.com – I get a couple of article rewriting tasks from 2 employers on a weekly basis. Although, the rate that I receive is far from the amount that I achieve in blogging since my input is also big, I’m glad to have something to look forward to at the end of the week.
  • Others – I have Blogsvertise.com and some link building opportunities wherein Advertisers contacted me to place their site links on my homepage for a fee every month.

I think that’s about it for now. It’s not that much, the bulk really comes from SocialSpark. Probably by November, I’ll be creating another Excel sheet that will provide information on where I got the cash and earn online.

let's make money

Hopefully, my savings will help me out.

oDesk is down

Darn it, the past few days, Odesk.com has been having some issues with it’s website that I find it hard to check out other job opportunities as well as update my profile for employers to check. It has been nice though that I already have a couple of jobs, I just need to finalize the 2nd one which hasn’t been giving a good time to do so because of their temporary problem. Sometimes it’s up, sometimes the server just goes out. Anyway, hope everything gets resolved soon.
