Steps on How to Correct the Notification of Limited PayPal Account Access

After I made a Paypal transaction online, I received an email from PayPal themselves notifying me of a Limited PayPal Account Access being done to my account. I was shocked! – I still had some funds I needed to withdraw at that week because of an important trip that I’ve been saving for.

Of course, with these Paypal emails, I usually don’t believe them right away and I have a better eye in checking for PayPal scams. However, this seemed legit because of so many ways. Here’s a body of the Paypal email message I got:

Dear Edxxx Sxxx,

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding your account.

We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. Because protecting the security of your account is our primary concern, we have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features. We understand that this may be an inconvenience but please understand that this temporary limitation is for your protection.

Case ID Number: PP-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

For your protection, we have limited access to your account until additional security measures can be completed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

To review your account and some or all of the information that PayPal used to make its decision to limit your account access, please visit the Resolution Center. If, after reviewing your account information, you seek further clarification regarding your account access, please contact PayPal by visiting the Help Center and clicking "Contact Us".

We thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please understand that this is a security measure intended to help protect you and your account. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
PayPal Account Review Department

It was written in all plain text and the email addresses on the email header were correct. I was scared shit of what might happen to my account knowing that I still had about 300 dollars left which I was planning to use for a trip.

So when I logged in back to my Paypal, I had to follow a few steps in order to restore the limited access of my PayPal account.

Here are the Steps that I took in order to restore Security and access my Paypal again.

How To Restore PayPal from Limited Access Notification Email

Step 1: Update Your Credit Card or Bank Account Details

Step 2: Enter a New PayPal Password and Pick Out your Security Question & Answers

Step 5: Once You Click Submit, You’ll be taken Back to Your Account Overview Screen in Paypal.

What happened after all the filling out of data was that I was greeted back to my account with my balance still intact. Phew!

Those steps in updating my account and security were good but I’m glad that the Limited Access Notification Email was just a false alarm. The email was legitimate but I thought my account was really put on hold. But it wasn’t!

I was wondering too, because the previous transaction that I made which was withdrawing money in Philippine Peso currency was reversed and I had to withdraw the Peso amount again in PayPal. I immediately took the remaining money that was left in it; including the dollars that was available.

Situations like these, I am wary and I feel a bit crazy because of how easily the money can be thrown away after how many months of saving it. I’m just glad that PayPal has never let me down so far.

I also received another update in my email wherein PayPal apologize for the inconvenience that they caused due to this recent security update and that they wanted to make my account secure. My PayPal account has been successfully restored!

Word of warning to my readers: Always make sure that the email comes from PayPal themselves and make sure that it’s not a scam. Here’s an entry on how I was able to detect some PayPal email scams.

4 friends resigned from work to pursue blogging and freelance

I have 4 friends who resigned from work in order to pursue careers in blogging and freelance. These people all worked in a prestigious contact center and they were all my colleagues. I even started blogging before them and I influenced a couple to start sharing their thoughts online and earn some income at the same time.

The funny part about this is that I was the one who told them that I’d raise the white flag first. Now, I’m the one left in this business process outsourcing industry; still doing the same things that I’ve been doing for almost 3 years now. I actually feel toxic knowing that the job has been monotonous already. My friend told me that I’m at a plateau and I’m not moving anywhere. I know I should take action but the job that I have is the most flexible one considering that I’ve been doing freelance jobs at odesk, onlinejobs.ph and blogging jobs at sponsored review sites and other payperpost sites.

These jobs don’t really generate a stable income and the benefits are less when it comes to insurance and security; however the possibility of owning one’s time and being able to stay in a different place is limitless. Doing freelance work and blogging makes you less location-bound since you only have to have the internet and a good laptop computer in order to do your daily tasks.

My goal now since I haven’t really gotten full-time with my freelance work is to pursue my education and get that diploma. For now, I can just be envious on how free my other colleagues are who already resigned in order to work on a freelance scheme. I’ll definitely join them but it’s not about to happen anytime soon.

maximizing my PayPal

Been using my PayPal to help out other people in withdrawing funds from their own accounts. They don’t have any PayPal account and once they’ve been paid by their employers because of their freelance jobs, they come to me to cash out their money.

Although there’s a little charge that they pay, I get to give the money right away since it takes about 3-5 business days for the money to be reflected on my bank. All in all, it’s actually a good business which helps me earn a little as well.

Social Spark Earnings, $1,233.72; So Far

I’ve been a member of Social Spark for about 2 years already, I think. Nowadays, this is where I earn through my blog opportunities. I’m not active in PayPerpost.com or other Sponsored Review sites anymore which is just okay because I’m also working on my freelance work.

I love Social Spark since the main feature that determines a blog’s eligibility is through it’s category, country and Real Rank. It is not focused on Google Page Rank which is what the rest of sponsored review or pay per post sites are mostly catering to.

I don’t understand why Google has to dominate the rankings and eligibilities. I can see that they play and important role (heck, I still earn through Adsense) since they’re definitely a giant and this is where most companies invest in but I hate the monopoly.

Looking at my record, I’ve made a lot of money already which makes me happy but lost as well since I’m wondering where the money is already. hehe.

This is my total earnings so far. It already amounted to $1,233.72 which is really big. I hope to earn more from this.

socialspark This is no bull, I don’t do that.

savings account

It’s payday and I used up all my money and deposited them in my savings account. It feels good knowing that I have place to keep my money instead of spending it for unnecessary things. The past years I’ve always asked myself why I wasn’t able to save as much when I was earning more. Even if it would be just 500 bucks a month every pay day. After every year, I’d get depressed because I had nothing at the end of each year.

Now I promised myself that I’d open up an account for me to allot some money for savings. Even if I’m going to use the money some time at this year, at least I would be able to come up with a certain amount for use.

Currently, I feel like I can restrain myself from spending which is pretty good knowing that I have some limits and I can control the cash that I get. After going to different banks and ATMs to withdraw, I went to another one to consolidate all and save.

Now I’m broke again.

money: easy come, easy go

I’m supposed to create an entry to help out EJ start with odesk but I apologize I’m not able to update as often as I can. But I promise I’ll create an entry out of it.

I’m just upset in a way that money comes and goes so easily. Although it’s good that I know where it’s going, I just wish that it would stay in my hands for a longer period of time before it’s taken away from me for loans and bills.

I withdrew about 500 dollars from Paypal the other day and now it’s all gone. It’s hard to keep it in your hand for awhile. Now I feel like a real adult with families and kids. I’m trying to invest in something and I hope everything will push through. I’m crossing my fingers so give me 2 weeks.

Money from your Passion

Money Grab

The last post I made was really something, it’s like me announcing to the world that I’m a money-making machine. However, I don’t see where my money has been going. It makes me wonder what I could do if I were to save all of that and just focus on How to Make Money From Passions.

It’s hard to influence people that something you like doing, whether it be photography and the arts or the internet marketing business,  can really earn you some cash. Sure, it may not be stable; but in the long run, what matters is how you are able to plan carefully in achieving the things that you want to achieve.

I’m glad that I am able to earn some extra money through blogging and through some sideline jobs on the net. I never thought I would become this online nomad that can just go anywhere and bring my laptop with me and actually work. But then, I’m still owned by my time considering that I have a full time day job. I know someday I would have to let go of one so I can focus and really establish and go all out on the passion.

It is hard to get the desire to do something you want to do and I’m glad that I’m getting there, I think. I would have to work on the double since I need to pay a lot of debt accumulated through the years. Debt Consolidation has So Many Benefits Why Wait for the chance to pay for so much. I’m turning things around now and I need to keep the passion burning.

I’m glad to be blogging about a lot of things: traveling and just being online. The internet is a crazy world.

I got my ATM card!

I finally finished one of my two loans and I can now breathe a little easier as I already got my ATM card back. It was taken by a loan shark so we could use the funds for a business. However the business didn’t really do well as expected and I had been paying for it for about 3 months and it was keeping me down for a minimal amount of time since all my salary would be used up to pay off those amount.

It’s really a good thing that I got blogging as a sideline plus some jobs at odesk to keep me full and have some small rewards for myself. If it weren’t for these online businesses, I wouldn’t know how I would feel when it came to seeing things outside the box. It helped me open my mind that somehow I am able to look for money and really find some in the process.

I got my ATM card back and I plan to set aside the money that I usually paid in order to save more.

need to keep the money

I need to save up, I know I should. Somehow money has been flowing fast out than it should come in. I have been pretty careless but I know that I can earn more and it’s just a matter of discipline.

I’ll be working on a new project that I hope I can succeed in. I need to learn new skills in order to maximize my time to get the lifestyle that I want. I’ll be on leave next week to undergo training and I hope I’ll be successful in this type of field as I believe I am good and I love what I’m doing here.

For now, I need to tighten my belt.

helping out

It’s really nice to help out people and spread the good news on being able to share how I’ve earned online in blogging. It’s sometimes hard especially when the steps that you’ve done doesn’t work for them. Because in the end, sometimes I am just lucky to be at the right place and at the right time. That’s why I always put a disclaimer to always love blogging and not focus on the money as it will just follow. If you concentrate on the latter too much, you might get frustrated for not earning enough.
