loving SocialSpark

I’m loving SocialSpark because of the many opportunities that I’ve been getting at the start of June of this year. The tasks aren’t only many, the payouts are also big; bigger than PayPerPost. At least SocialSpark relies on RealRank which is another form of ranking that is totally different from Google’s PageRank. It’s more reliable for me as it is updated on mostly a daily basis which is pretty good since you get to expect your traffic everyday if it’s going up or down.

Going back to SocialSpark, this has been the only marketplace that I’ve been getting some constant income the past few months. If it weren’t for this, I wouldn’t have any other cash flowing in. I’m so grateful that somehow, my opportunities are getting accepted and my blogs are being qualified to take in posts every now and then. I really wish this wouldn’t stop because I don’t have any other venue to earn.

PayPerPost and SocialSpark

PayPerPost and SocialSpark, both are under the same umbrella (IZEA) but both have different ranking categories.

PayPerPost is the first blogger-advertiser marketplace that provided me some good opportunities to earn extra income. It’s one of the more known marketplace that everybody (well, every blogger who wants to earn money while blogging) knows. But it largely depends on the PageRank for its requirements for bloggers to be able to bid for tasks or opportunities. The problem with me is that I rarely have any website that has at least have a PR of 1. Want to know more about PageRank? Visit my blog entry about it.

SocialSpark is also part of IZEA wherein it is more of a networking site that also has blog opportunities for you to write tasks for advertisers. However, you can also add friends to your network, leave comments and build your profile (hence, social). The tasks here are wider and has a bigger scope considering that you can take opportunities that require you to post links of advertisers, sponsor reviews etc. The great thing about this is that it relies on RealRank as its basis which defies Google’s standards.

Now what’s the difference between RealRank and PageRank? I don’t know yet. hehe. All I know is that RealRank is more on the traffic while PageRank is more on Google’s way of looking the value of your site. I’ll probably research more about it so I can blog it next time. I’ll probably include the Alexa Rank with the entry next time.

Anyway, of PayPerPost and SocialSpark, I’ve been getting more tasks the past month of the latter since the PR of my sites really dropped to zero, that’s why I seldom have opporunities in the former. Nevertheless I’m happy that I’m getting some tasks to keep paying the bills.

2nd Google Adsense Payout!

I got my second payout from Adsense!

About $103, and I earned it in a span of 3-4 months I believe which is just a quarter of the time I was able to spend in order to come up with this amount compared to my first adsense payout.

Still, this is already big enough an amount considering that I only have personal blogs to help me out that doesn’t have that much high traffic. I’m still glad that I was able to withdraw some money through Western Union because of this.

To find out how I was able to withdraw it, you can check out my first adsense withrawal by clicking on this link.

whoa, my PR dropped!

Just when I thought everything would be smooth sailing, my last website that has a more than zero PR –> Edearns.com (PR 1) has been slammed by Google and my PR has now dropped. Ironic that it went down the moment that I blogged about it.

Oh well, we can’t everything. Even if people do say that it’s PR is a good measurement, I know it’s not everything. I just wished I could reach a 4 or something like what other blogmates I know were able to do. But hey, I’m not Google. hehe.

It was fun while it lasted.

higher PR

They say it doesn’t really matter if you have a high Page Rank or not. But for me, it still does. It’s a big factor especially when you bid for tasks.

I know I was able to get some opportunities online from different advertisers even if my blogs are of 0 Page Rank value. But I could definitely earn more and have more options if I had a higher Page Rank.

It’s sometimes upsetting that I don’t know that much on how to increase the status despite having a number of blogworthy entries. And I don’t want to result into putting my face plastered all over the website in order to attract more traffic (assuming. hehe). Still, I wish I had a higher PR, but it seems that it’s really impossible unless I do something drastic.

But I’m glad that I still have some tasks to do despite having Zero values of my sites (except for Edearns.com). It’s been almost a year since I have the same status. Dang.

Because of adsense…

I was able to treat my colleagues at work to dinner!

I promised them that I’d treat them one of these days when I would get my payout. Once I did get my first Google Adsense Payout, I wasn’t really able to share my blessings right away. I used the money to pay off some old debts and rotate it in order to maximize time. Once I was able to get it back, I suddenly told them I was to treat them out.

All 12 of them, hehe. We went out to a restaurant near our place. This was my promise to them and although it got delayed, the important thing is I stayed true to my word. Now that everything’s settled, the next Google Payout that I’ll be receiving will be entirely for myself alone. hehe. But still, it’s going to be awhile once I receive it. It actually took me a year to get my first Adsense payout due to the minimal traffic that my sites get. But I’m still happy though.

Adsense Withdrawal thru Western Union

I went to Western Union and got my first Google adsense Payout!

The amount was for a year’s worth and even if it’s not that big, I’m still very glad I was able to reach the hundred dollar mark.

I went to a Western Union branch inside Robinsons in Fuente Osmeña on a Sunday. I was a bit apprehensive at first cause I was assuming that Western Union needed more than the details that were indicated in the Google webpage. I wondered if they’d even accept the information that I got, since this is just a pick up.

I told the attendants that I wanted to pick up a Western Union Quick Cash transaction.

I was told to just fill up the Receive Money (yellow form) with the details and presented one government ID to the rep and after a few minutes I got my money!

Since it was $115.96, she gave me a 100-dollar bill and exchanged the rest with my local currency. In any case, I’m so glad that I got my payout!. Western Union has been very helpful and easy; to think that it was FREE (well okay, there was a 17-cent charge for the Documentary Stamp Tax – DST). The amount was very minimal especially when you’re earnings are based on work that don’t feel like wort at all.

This is my first Western Union transaction and I’m very glad!

First time to hold a hundred dollar bill. hehe

1st Google Adsense Payout!

Last 23 of October, I checked my adsense account to see if I could withdraw my money already. Fortunately, there was a difference when I went to the My Accounts>Payment History. I clicked on ‘details” and it tells me that I can now get my payment!

Yey! hehe. After almost a year, I’m finally going to get my First Google Adsense Payout! I know I know, one year for $115 is not that big of a money compared to other people who earn a lot more in just a month. But still, for a personal blogger like me, and with the inflation rate fluctuating rapidly, I’m glad enough to be getting this amount. I just need to convert the money to my country’s currency and then voila! Quarterly bonus! hehe.

Photobucket

So now as I was looking for some information online on how to get this money, I was able to find out that it’s pretty much easy to get my payout using the Western Union Quick Cash option.

Photobucket

They have a note saying.

Your payment is available for pick-up the day after the payment date above

Remember to bring the following when you pick up your payment at a local Western Union agent:

* The amount of your payment
* The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for this payment
* Your government issued ID (Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, etc)
* Sender’s information:
Google Inc.
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
Mountain View, CA 94043
USA

So what I need to do is just follow these rules and then I’ll be getting my 115 bucks. I promised some people that I’ll be treating them once this payout arrives. I’ll blog about what happened next.

adsense placement

I usually go to different forums and youtube videos in order to get a lot of tips in order to understand how I can optimize my site with regard to Google Adsense. I’m still not good in placing my ads and putting them in the page in a way that would be of best use,

There are a number of tips on how to increase your earnings in Adsense. However, for me, I haven’t been that as successful with this venture because again you need to have a high number of traffic before you can really earn from these ads.

Anyway, since I’m also not an expert, here’s one of some videos by Joel Comm (who is a master with earning from Google Adsense). He talks about adsense placements as well as which ones are very good in terms of easily getting some moolah because of the size of the ads.

As far as I know, one great tip would be to format your ads so they won’t look like ads. Meaning, they should blend with the layout and the color of your blog. You can refer to the expert below for more information

bombclick

BOMBCLICK – somebody asked this question in istorya.

As far as I know, bombclick is a slang for the act of constantly and abusively clicking on your ads. Whether it be you, or another person as far as timbuktu, anyone who keeps on clicking on your ads. Google has a way (that I don’t know what type of tool) of finding the number of clicks if it came from the same origin or IP address and can trace that down.

That’s why in the terms and conditions of Google, they specifically tell you NOT to click on your own ads nor tell anyone to click on your ads. It purposely defeats the purpose of whole adsense principle in the first place. A person clicks on an advertisement in another person’s site because he wants to know more about the product or service that was advertised.

There are actually a number of videos out there that discuss the importance of NOT EVER clicking on your ads! Because if Google finds out about this, then they will definitely ban you and you can’t reapply anymore because it’s under your own name.

So please, do yourself a favor, don’t click; nor tell anyone to click!
