my friend received a laptop from his employer in odesk

Well actually, she bought the laptop herself due to the hassles of shipping overseas and other complications that arise in sending out a device to the Philippines. But that’s beside the point already; she got a laptop as a bonus for the services she’s been doing for an employer of hers.

I haven’t been very successful with odesk (when you compare my credentials with hers) because my freelance jobs are more blog-related and I’m not as active as I thought I would be.

Anyhow, her employer whom she met at odesk seemed satisfied in hiring her as a VA (Virtual Assistant) that he (employer) decided to give her a laptop as a bonus. Now why am I the one blogging the information out for her as if I’m the one received the laptop? Simply because I’m just so happy for her, who wouldn’t be right?

Well, because I was the one who sent the money to her. She doesn’t have paypal account and had to use mine in order to transact the cash. After all the currency conversions and waiting for them to reflect at the bank, I sent the money happily and proud that somebody was able to get her bonus early this year.

Total Earnings for 2009

Was shocked when I tallied all my earnings from November last year to November this year. I went back to blogging on November so it would be suffice to say that my earnings report should also end in November. Now, why did I just post this today? Because I didn’t have time… it’s always the excuse.

Going back, I was surprised to see that I’ve earned this much because I kept on wondering where the hell the money went after. Sure there were loans I needed to pay and things I needed to buy as well as places I traveled to. I guess I’m trying to liquidate all my expenses but I know I’ll be all the more upset if I think about the money that’s gone; which misses out on the point of creating this entry in the first place.

earnings 2009

I am rejoicing because I never thought I could earn this much. I know I should know better than posting my earnings here because people might think that I’m such an airhead to keep on bragging about my money and such (when I don’t have a lot in reality). I know of bloggers who are being attacked by people just because they’ve posted on their blogs that they’ve earned this much.

According to my hosting provider, “There are a lot of baadddd people online” — indeed there are. Attested to the fact that I 3 of my blogs has been hacked this 2009.

Anyway, blogging as a sideline has been great; I’m planning to go full blast in 2010. And again, for first-time bloggers who may want to earn some extra income themselves, please read through my disclaimer again that what works for me may not work for you. But this is how I did it and it’s just my report so please don’t blame me if your blog doesn’t turn out to be what you expected because of me.

Peace out!

314 dollar cashout from socialspark

I withdrew my other earnings from Social Spark which is 314.50  dollars. I think this has got to be the biggest cash out that I have made in this money making website. I am really glad as this is probably the only marketplace that I am getting some good earning. I don’t think I could reach this high with all the other places that I am earning some income.

I still have about a hundred dollars left that is still pending for payout. I’ll be waiting for other opportunities so I can blog and earn again.

because of blogging, i bought a new phone

My phone was cracking up whenever I would receive a message from one of my contacts that I knew I had to buy a new phone. So I bought a new T700 which I liked since I wanted my new phone to be from Sony Ericcson. I chose this one as this was the cheapest among the items on promo, anyway I’m not that big on cellphones. At least I’d have something to listen to whenever I’d like to play some music and such.

Again, it’s all because of blogging that I was able to buy this new phone. Hope to keep these gadgets coming!

$201 SocialSpark cashout

I cashed out some funds from SocialSpark! I withdrew 201 dollars from my account which is the amount accumulated ever since I became active in looking for opportunities some time last June 2009. Now I can put them in my paypal account so I could just accumulate the money to pay off old debts. I’m glad, really really glad of SocialSpark as it’s the only big money-making opportunity that I’ve been getting these months (can’t stress this as much as I can). At least there’s a somewhat steady stream of tasks that I get to write for my blogs and the amounts are big (least is $5 per post and would reach $25). Even if all my sites’ Page Ranks are 0, I still got to be competitive because of RealRank. Thanks SocialSpark!

I still have some Pending Payouts but we’ll save them for later.

almost time for another cashout

I’m still waiting for my money to reach a certain amount but it’s almost time for another cashout and I’m glad that somehow I’m able to come up with another payout. I wasn’t expecting that I’d be getting it sooner than I thought. Right now, here are the major sites that send me some extra money.

  • SocialSpark.com – This is where I’ve been getting bulk of the cash these days. It started some time in June.
  • PayPerPost.com – Not really that much as my PageRank (which is their main basis for giving out opportunities) is not high.
  • ODesk.com – I get a couple of article rewriting tasks from 2 employers on a weekly basis. Although, the rate that I receive is far from the amount that I achieve in blogging since my input is also big, I’m glad to have something to look forward to at the end of the week.
  • Others – I have Blogsvertise.com and some link building opportunities wherein Advertisers contacted me to place their site links on my homepage for a fee every month.

I think that’s about it for now. It’s not that much, the bulk really comes from SocialSpark. Probably by November, I’ll be creating another Excel sheet that will provide information on where I got the cash and earn online.

let's make money

Hopefully, my savings will help me out.

blogging trips

People might wonder what I’ve been doing with the money I’ve earned while blogging. For one, I travel a lot. No, I don’t travel extravagantly, I still stick to a budget but the opportunity to go to places I only dreamed about is very much accessible. Aside from my work salary (which is used for my daily expenses as well as helping out my family), I use my blog earnings for these out of town trips to get the much-needed rest and relaxation from the city as well as satisfying my adventuresome side. But it doesn’t mean that these outings are for outing’s sake alone, I also use these to help put more information on my blog as I also document my trips online for other people to read and scan. So in the end, it’s not more on luxury but it also adds to the entries that I talk about in because of these experiences and blogging trips.

because of blogging, I was able to my first DSLR camera!

My hp bebe came with a twin! And it’s all because of blogging, again!

A week after I got my laptop, I was able to purchase another passion gadget, my DSLR camera. I was too high to tweak the former that’s why I never had much time to talk about the latter. I’m still on a high about having both these gadgets in February (there’s something about this month) but I know I should be able to find my return of investment.

I’ve always liked loved taking pictures and I’ve been wishing to get my own DSLR camera the moment I bought my first point and shoot one. Now, I’m having a bit of a time understanding the complexities of aperture, ISO sensitivity, depth of field, shutter speed, etc. since I’m still an amateur at this.

But again, it’s nice to realize your goals and be able to achieve them one way or another. It’s especially fulfilling knowing that the amount that you were able to raise is due to perseverance, hardwork and patience.

I actually bought another site because of this, which I had been meaning to get ever since I was able to take pictures. Now, everything has come to fruition. I plan on expanding this sideline and hopefully, I’ll be able to earn more than my work salary here.

Again, it’s all because of blogging! :)

cashed out 475 bucks from paypal

I had to cash out. I needed the money to pay off certain debt so I wouldn’t have to worry about monthly expenses that’s why  I cashed out the moolah that I earned for the past 3 months. I withdrew  around 475 bucks. I wanted to wait for it to reach 500 but since I was a little desperate, I had to get it ASAP.

But I’m very much glad. I won’t have to worry about anything else since this is extra money for me and knowing that I’m able to spend it to something useful is good enough already.

It still amazes me at times when I’d see that I’m really able to earn extra out of this hobby. But what I’m planning to focus more now is how to build my profile in order to establish a better network. Odesk doesn’t seem so far from my mind. Thanks to Faith for the encouragement, I need to get my ass working if ever I want to earn fast.

because of blogging, I was able to buy a laptop

Guys, let me introduce to you my new bebe!

Photobucket

I used to envy bloggers who were able to buy something out of the blog money that they were able to earn. Come to think of it, I used to envy bloggers who were able to earn blog money. period. That’s why I’ve always wondered how it would be like to be part of those people who were able to get their laptop or something else out of the craft they made online.

Although this was paid using credit, I’m able to get this new baby using my blog money. I never thought this would happen to me but it did! It’s such a nice feeling to be able to reap your rewards after some hard work, perseverance and a lot of patience.

I hope I don’t sound too proud, but I just want to let other people know that it is indeed possible. Hope we all get something out of our blogs!
