After the rain

Here comes the drought of not having enough entries or tasks. Still I’m very thankful that it coincided with the month that I first started blogging in order to earn some income. It was on a November that I first created my comeback (to blogging) entry.

So right now, I’m going back to saving up and anticipating for more opportunities.

I’m just so glad that I was able to use some extra money while I was in Manila for a business trip. Because I doubt if my salary could withstand the expenses of the metropolis. I was able to get my money back through reimbursement.

Anyway, I’m looking for more opportunities again.

4th Payout!

Through soloflighted.com, I earned my fourth payout! It’s nice cause again, I’ve been referring to this payouts my quarterly bonus. It’s great knowing that there’s some extra moolah that I can get out of blogging. People understand why I blog for money anyway.

Come to think of it, since this is already my fourth payout, I should write an entry collating all the earnings I’ve gained out of soloflighted.com. I would need to create one for my other blogs as well.

update!

I haven’t been able to update this site as much as I wanted to. Probably because I went to Manila the past three weeks and I had to give more time to my full-time job rather than this blogging business. Anyway, I’m back! Though there are a lot of things I need to to so I can update this site.

But good news! I was able to earn $420 dollars in a span of 3 weeks! Yes! I was given a link my a company which required bloggers to have their own domain names and then link the keyword that the advertisers have and publish them.

There were 42 entries at that time with $5 dollars per entry. Again, the main requirement was for you to have a domain and not a free registered blog (e.g. blogspot, wordpress etc.) and since I have 2 personal weblogs, I hurriedly kept posting and posting till I my hands swell.

When I got to the middle of the process, I realized I didn’t have much time. That’s when I also realized that the requirement wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. They even allowed me to backtrack my tasks (or changing the date to a later time). That’s when I realized that I was wasting my time trying to compose as many entries as possible. Because what happened was that I just used my old blog entries and then integrated the keywords directly into those posts! Which wasn’t at all hard to do!

I’m so glad that I got to earn as much as that in how many weeks! But you might wonder where’s the money now? They’re almost all gone cause a lot had been allocated to house expenses and such. Oh well, easy come, easy go. But it was really that easy! hehe.

unexpected emails

It’s nice to receive emails once in a while that you don’t really expect. I received two this week.

  • One is I received an offer to place a text link ad in my other domain’s homepage. They’d pay me 30 bucks per quarter just for placing their advertisement on my site.

— I haven’t received any reply yet with the mode of payment but considering the number of emails they receive and transact business with, I totally understand. I’m still giving it some time.

  • Another one is I got an email offer from a new paid post site that’s still in the beta period. They were offering me 50 dollars to write 10 articles (5 dollars each) for their clients and they’d pay me within 24 hours once I’ve submitted the post.

— I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn’t know if it were real or not. I just made 5 opportunities out of the 10. Surprisingly, I received their paypal email payment within the next 4 hours! Shoot, I should’ve finished all the tasks, I’d be 25 dollars richer. Still, it’s better to get 25 than nothing.

I never expected I’d receive those emails because my blogs don’t have that high page rank values (0) and I got them through my Spam folder. But it’s nice since I feel proud of getting offers from advertisers. The only question I still have on my mind is how they were able to reach me through my email. But I’m still glad!

an update

I can’t believe I neglected this blog. I don’t know what happened but is the spark of helping out people only good at the first few months? I haven’t been very good in updating this site; including my other site about pictures.

Anyway, I guess it doesn’t hurt to update every now and then. I’m glad though that I’m able to help other people out who’re just starting this online side business. One thing I’d like to make it clear so that you won’t get frustrated.

Don’t blog for money, don’t blog for the sole purpose of earning alone. Because if you do, then you’ll end up being upset on why you didn’t get any opportunities to earn as much as you would think.

Try to just make it as a sideline. That way, you wouldn’t feel pressured and you’ll treat the money you’ll get as a reward or so. Just my two cents.

busy

I’ve been pretty busy with my regular job that my mind is too preoccupied with finishing my evaluations so I can reach the quota for this fiscal month. I’ve been doing overtime work even on my days off to also test myself to what extent am I able to push myself further when it comes to physical exhaustion.

That’s why I can’t seem to update this site often; what, with 3 other blogs to maintain, it’s surely a tough act to do.

Maybe next week, I’ll be able to write a topic of interest that’s pretty useful. As for now, forgive me for the lack of words.

I got my second payout!

I just got my second pay out and I’m happy! Yipee!!! Sorry, even I haven’t been able to earn as much as my first payout, I’m still glad I was able to reach this much.

The earnings were a total of two month’s worth of paid posts. At least I’m able to use the money for something worthwhile; that is, I’m going to save this to pay for my tuition so I can get back to school.

ask them out

Guys, if you do have some questions you want to clarify or just simple comments, please do air them out. I’ll try to find ways to answer them, or if I can’t answer them, let’s try to look for people who can! Again, I’m still a novice at this online earning business.

Whatever type of question (e.g. how to place adsense in Blogger, how to create a Unionbank EON account, how to set-up paypal, etc.), just blurt them out. I know that there are people who are visiting this simple blog of mine but are just shy to give a shout out.

The reason why I want you to at least ask me some questions is so I may also learn in the process. Also, it helps give me a topic of what to blog next. hehe.

Peace out!

adsense placement

I usually go to different forums and youtube videos in order to get a lot of tips in order to understand how I can optimize my site with regard to Google Adsense. I’m still not good in placing my ads and putting them in the page in a way that would be of best use,

There are a number of tips on how to increase your earnings in Adsense. However, for me, I haven’t been that as successful with this venture because again you need to have a high number of traffic before you can really earn from these ads.

Anyway, since I’m also not an expert, here’s one of some videos by Joel Comm (who is a master with earning from Google Adsense). He talks about adsense placements as well as which ones are very good in terms of easily getting some moolah because of the size of the ads.

As far as I know, one great tip would be to format your ads so they won’t look like ads. Meaning, they should blend with the layout and the color of your blog. You can refer to the expert below for more information

to blog for money or not?

To blog for money or NOT?

I asked myself this question a whole bunch of times before I returned to blogging. Right now, I’m still stuck in that stage where I don’t want to compromise my site in putting too much commercialism in it as I wanted to preserve the essence of blogging.

I used to blog for blogging’s sake. I wanted to express my thoughts just to have my piece of the pie in creating a statement, no matter how little that would be. Until it came to a point that I didn’t want to blog anymore. However, the interest came back when I learned I could blog to earn.

Right now, I’m really making some moolah out of my personal blog. But I don’t want to bombard it with too many side content that’s it’s already hard to distinguish what the purpose for it is.

That’s why if you have plans on how you want to blog, you need to sort out your sentiments if you really want to earn or not. As for me, I just wanted to be somewhere in the middle. I’d want to monetize my site, however, I still want to be a part of that small group with some entries that are worth reading.

Not that those sites that focus more on earning such as the one here, isn’t worth reading. We all have different perspectives and opinions on how we view blogging.

On my end, I had to blog because I needed the money. Of course, who doesn’t need some right? But again, we all have our own reasons, just don’t let yourself get caught in between. You should know what you want. If you think that you’d be compromised with the way you are writing and putting different ads or paid content on your site, then stop already. You do have a choice anyway.

As what a colleague at work commented when I was still having this inner conflict inside me whether to blog for money or not, he asked me: “What is the sole purpose why you blogged?” I replied “Because I want to earn”. There you have it, enough said.
