2nd Google Adsense Payout!

I got my second payout from Adsense!

About $103, and I earned it in a span of 3-4 months I believe which is just a quarter of the time I was able to spend in order to come up with this amount compared to my first adsense payout.

Still, this is already big enough an amount considering that I only have personal blogs to help me out that doesn’t have that much high traffic. I’m still glad that I was able to withdraw some money through Western Union because of this.

To find out how I was able to withdraw it, you can check out my first adsense withrawal by clicking on this link.

Adsense Withdrawal Thru Western Union

1st Google Adsense Payout!

Last 23 of October, I checked my adsense account to see if I could withdraw my money already. Fortunately, there was a difference when I went to the My Accounts>Payment History. I clicked on ‘details” and it tells me that I can now get my payment!

Yey! hehe. After almost a year, I’m finally going to get my First Google Adsense Payout! I know I know, one year for $115 is not that big of a money compared to other people who earn a lot more in just a month. But still, for a personal blogger like me, and with the inflation rate fluctuating rapidly, I’m glad enough to be getting this amount. I just need to convert the money to my country’s currency and then voila! Quarterly bonus! hehe.

So now as I was looking for some information online on how to get this money, I was able to find out that it’s pretty much easy to get my payout using the Western Union Quick Cash option.

They have a note saying.

Your payment is available for pick-up the day after the payment date above

Remember to bring the following when you pick up your payment at a local Western Union agent:

* The amount of your payment
* The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for this payment
* Your government issued ID (Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, etc)
* Sender’s information:
Google Inc.
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
Mountain View, CA 94043
USA

So what I need to do is just follow these rules and then I’ll be getting my 115 bucks. I promised some people that I’ll be treating them once this payout arrives. I’ll blog about what happened next.

unexpected emails

It’s nice to receive emails once in a while that you don’t really expect. I received two this week.

  • One is I received an offer to place a text link ad in my other domain’s homepage. They’d pay me 30 bucks per quarter just for placing their advertisement on my site.

— I haven’t received any reply yet with the mode of payment but considering the number of emails they receive and transact business with, I totally understand. I’m still giving it some time.

  • Another one is I got an email offer from a new paid post site that’s still in the beta period. They were offering me 50 dollars to write 10 articles (5 dollars each) for their clients and they’d pay me within 24 hours once I’ve submitted the post.

— I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn’t know if it were real or not. I just made 5 opportunities out of the 10. Surprisingly, I received their paypal email payment within the next 4 hours! Shoot, I should’ve finished all the tasks, I’d be 25 dollars richer. Still, it’s better to get 25 than nothing.

I never expected I’d receive those emails because my blogs don’t have that high page rank values (0) and I got them through my Spam folder. But it’s nice since I feel proud of getting offers from advertisers. The only question I still have on my mind is how they were able to reach me through my email. But I’m still glad!

adsense placement

I usually go to different forums and youtube videos in order to get a lot of tips in order to understand how I can optimize my site with regard to Google Adsense. I’m still not good in placing my ads and putting them in the page in a way that would be of best use,

There are a number of tips on how to increase your earnings in Adsense. However, for me, I haven’t been that as successful with this venture because again you need to have a high number of traffic before you can really earn from these ads.

Anyway, since I’m also not an expert, here’s one of some videos by Joel Comm (who is a master with earning from Google Adsense). He talks about adsense placements as well as which ones are very good in terms of easily getting some moolah because of the size of the ads.

As far as I know, one great tip would be to format your ads so they won’t look like ads. Meaning, they should blend with the layout and the color of your blog. You can refer to the expert below for more information

bombclick

BOMBCLICK – somebody asked this question in istorya.

As far as I know, bombclick is a slang for the act of constantly and abusively clicking on your ads. Whether it be you, or another person as far as timbuktu, anyone who keeps on clicking on your ads. Google has a way (that I don’t know what type of tool) of finding the number of clicks if it came from the same origin or IP address and can trace that down.

That’s why in the terms and conditions of Google, they specifically tell you NOT to click on your own ads nor tell anyone to click on your ads. It purposely defeats the purpose of whole adsense principle in the first place. A person clicks on an advertisement in another person’s site because he wants to know more about the product or service that was advertised.

There are actually a number of videos out there that discuss the importance of NOT EVER clicking on your ads! Because if Google finds out about this, then they will definitely ban you and you can’t reapply anymore because it’s under your own name.

So please, do yourself a favor, don’t click; nor tell anyone to click!

Paid Posts

So this is where I was able to generate my money… through paid posts.

There are a number of sites that are willing to hire bloggers to write a certain topic or interest. These are just some that I can mention at the back of my head. I know there are a number, but since I don’t have first-hand experience I don’t really have much knowledge. But since I don’t think it’s that hard to comprehend, I think I can explain it properly anyway.

Actually, these sites are just platforms for advertisers and bloggers alike. Advertisers are looking for advertisers who are looking for bloggers to blog about their products. But because I’m a blogger, I’ll be focusing more on a blogger’s perspective.

First, you need to sign up for these sites. Of course, in the process of signing up, there are some requirements and conditions in the process (e.g. your blog should be 2-3 months old, must have X number of entries, must be regularly updated etc.).

It may take awhile for your blog to get approved depending on how they will be able to review your site. So don’t fret that it may take some time, because it WILL take some time.

These paid post sites are where you need to apply so you can check some “opportunities/bids/tasks”. These tasks can range from $3-$200 or even more, again, depending on some certain qualifications. Sometimes, they will accept only those PageRanks (will be discussing this in future posts) that are high. But there are some that are not that hard to bid for; and that’s where we’re targeting more. Since I can’t demand for much (who am I, right?), I’m taking things slowly, and applying for bids that are quite okay for my range.

These tasks also have certain requirements (e.g. it should have an X number of words, should have some keywords mandated by the advertiser, should be posted on or before *date*, etc.). Once you follow their steps, and once they review your work; they’ll approve it and you can get your payout!

Note: I’m not so sure how long the cycle for the payout would be cause I’m not good with calendars. But I got my first payout after a month, and I’m still running on my second month through paid blogging at soloflighted.com.

I’ll try to post some useful tips to talk about paid posts some more.
