2nd Google Adsense Payout!

I got my second payout from Adsense!

About $103, and I earned it in a span of 3-4 months I believe which is just a quarter of the time I was able to spend in order to come up with this amount compared to my first adsense payout.

Still, this is already big enough an amount considering that I only have personal blogs to help me out that doesn’t have that much high traffic. I’m still glad that I was able to withdraw some money through Western Union because of this.

To find out how I was able to withdraw it, you can check out my first adsense withrawal by clicking on this link.

Adsense Withdrawal Thru Western Union

Because of adsense…

I was able to treat my colleagues at work to dinner!

I promised them that I’d treat them one of these days when I would get my payout. Once I did get my first Google Adsense Payout, I wasn’t really able to share my blessings right away. I used the money to pay off some old debts and rotate it in order to maximize time. Once I was able to get it back, I suddenly told them I was to treat them out.

All 12 of them, hehe. We went out to a restaurant near our place. This was my promise to them and although it got delayed, the important thing is I stayed true to my word. Now that everything’s settled, the next Google Payout that I’ll be receiving will be entirely for myself alone. hehe. But still, it’s going to be awhile once I receive it. It actually took me a year to get my first Adsense payout due to the minimal traffic that my sites get. But I’m still happy though.

Adsense Withdrawal thru Western Union

I went to Western Union and got my first Google adsense Payout!

The amount was for a year’s worth and even if it’s not that big, I’m still very glad I was able to reach the hundred dollar mark.

I went to a Western Union branch inside Robinsons in Fuente Osmeña on a Sunday. I was a bit apprehensive at first cause I was assuming that Western Union needed more than the details that were indicated in the Google webpage. I wondered if they’d even accept the information that I got, since this is just a pick up.

I told the attendants that I wanted to pick up a Western Union Quick Cash transaction.

I was told to just fill up the Receive Money (yellow form) with the details and presented one government ID to the rep and after a few minutes I got my money!

Since it was $115.96, she gave me a 100-dollar bill and exchanged the rest with my local currency. In any case, I’m so glad that I got my payout!. Western Union has been very helpful and easy; to think that it was FREE (well okay, there was a 17-cent charge for the Documentary Stamp Tax – DST). The amount was very minimal especially when you’re earnings are based on work that don’t feel like wort at all.

This is my first Western Union transaction and I’m very glad!

First time to hold a hundred dollar bill. hehe

1st Google Adsense Payout!

Last 23 of October, I checked my adsense account to see if I could withdraw my money already. Fortunately, there was a difference when I went to the My Accounts>Payment History. I clicked on ‘details” and it tells me that I can now get my payment!

Yey! hehe. After almost a year, I’m finally going to get my First Google Adsense Payout! I know I know, one year for $115 is not that big of a money compared to other people who earn a lot more in just a month. But still, for a personal blogger like me, and with the inflation rate fluctuating rapidly, I’m glad enough to be getting this amount. I just need to convert the money to my country’s currency and then voila! Quarterly bonus! hehe.

So now as I was looking for some information online on how to get this money, I was able to find out that it’s pretty much easy to get my payout using the Western Union Quick Cash option.

They have a note saying.

Your payment is available for pick-up the day after the payment date above

Remember to bring the following when you pick up your payment at a local Western Union agent:

* The amount of your payment
* The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for this payment
* Your government issued ID (Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, etc)
* Sender’s information:
Google Inc.
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
Mountain View, CA 94043
USA

So what I need to do is just follow these rules and then I’ll be getting my 115 bucks. I promised some people that I’ll be treating them once this payout arrives. I’ll blog about what happened next.

ask them out

Guys, if you do have some questions you want to clarify or just simple comments, please do air them out. I’ll try to find ways to answer them, or if I can’t answer them, let’s try to look for people who can! Again, I’m still a novice at this online earning business.

Whatever type of question (e.g. how to place adsense in Blogger, how to create a Unionbank EON account, how to set-up paypal, etc.), just blurt them out. I know that there are people who are visiting this simple blog of mine but are just shy to give a shout out.

The reason why I want you to at least ask me some questions is so I may also learn in the process. Also, it helps give me a topic of what to blog next. hehe.

Peace out!

adsense placement

I usually go to different forums and youtube videos in order to get a lot of tips in order to understand how I can optimize my site with regard to Google Adsense. I’m still not good in placing my ads and putting them in the page in a way that would be of best use,

There are a number of tips on how to increase your earnings in Adsense. However, for me, I haven’t been that as successful with this venture because again you need to have a high number of traffic before you can really earn from these ads.

Anyway, since I’m also not an expert, here’s one of some videos by Joel Comm (who is a master with earning from Google Adsense). He talks about adsense placements as well as which ones are very good in terms of easily getting some moolah because of the size of the ads.

As far as I know, one great tip would be to format your ads so they won’t look like ads. Meaning, they should blend with the layout and the color of your blog. You can refer to the expert below for more information

bombclick

BOMBCLICK – somebody asked this question in istorya.

As far as I know, bombclick is a slang for the act of constantly and abusively clicking on your ads. Whether it be you, or another person as far as timbuktu, anyone who keeps on clicking on your ads. Google has a way (that I don’t know what type of tool) of finding the number of clicks if it came from the same origin or IP address and can trace that down.

That’s why in the terms and conditions of Google, they specifically tell you NOT to click on your own ads nor tell anyone to click on your ads. It purposely defeats the purpose of whole adsense principle in the first place. A person clicks on an advertisement in another person’s site because he wants to know more about the product or service that was advertised.

There are actually a number of videos out there that discuss the importance of NOT EVER clicking on your ads! Because if Google finds out about this, then they will definitely ban you and you can’t reapply anymore because it’s under your own name.

So please, do yourself a favor, don’t click; nor tell anyone to click!

Google Adsense

Google adsense are the advertisements placed mostly on every site that you go to. According to most people, this is where they earn the most income when it comes to ads.

You can apply an account online through the adsense home. Once you apply, it will ask you for your billing information and such. Afterwards, you’re all set to place some ads in your blog! There are some online courses on how to maximize it but I figure you should try your best to look for other blogs.

Note: The only blog I believe that can let you maximize where you place your ads as well as get the actual amount of how your earnings through it is thru Blogger, because right now, Blogger is powered by Google.

Going back to my application in adsense, there was suddenly an added security feature wherein you had enter a Security PIN coming from Google itself. The security pin will let you authenticate your address to make sure that you are where you are. For me, I just woke up one morning and received a letter from a mailman. I didn’t even believe I’d get one, since I’m in the Philippines and I don’t really trust the postal services unless it’s governed by a private company. Anyway, it took me around 2 weeks to get that PIN; after entering it on the site, my account was verified!

The good thing about it is you can just use Western Union as the mode of payment. Once you reach a $100, then you can start withdrawing it through the different centers in your area.

The problem is that soloflighted.com’s just new and it’s not gaining that much traffic, hence the less amount of earnings.

The reason why there are a number of networking sites (to the best of my knowledge) like maybe friendster, facebook, multiply etc. are free is because the world wide web is all about generating hits or traffic. In order for your site to generate a lot of moolah over adsense, you need to have a lot of visitors. As you can see there are different advertisements whenever you load a page in these social sites. That’s part of the strategies for them to earn. I was already placing ads on my site, but honestly, since I don’t have that much traffic, this is not where I’m generating most of my income.

A very important tip warning: Never, never, never, NEVER, NEVER click on your own ads! It violates the purpose and the terms and agreement with Google, and they will ban you once they find out. After banning you, you can’t apply again under your name. So again, save yourself and just don’t.

Coming up: Paid Post Sites –> where I generate most of my income

things I did

I started earning money for extra tasks from the admin during November of 2007. But it’s only now that I started to earn money for my site. Here’s a list of things I did that began my adventures in the blogging business.

I initially wrote “Things to Do” for this list, but since I can’t guarantee that you’ll have the same outcome as I do, I replaced it with “Things I Did”. This mainly serves as a guide for reference.

Things I Did:

  • Create a Paypal account – This is used for cash (or should I say cashless) transactions. This is the main mode of payment used by generally everyone.
  • Apply for a Union Bank EON Account – In order for you to apply for a paypal account, you need to have a credit card (Mastercard or Visa). Since I didn’t have any at that time, my admin suggested that I apply for a Union Bank EON account which is the only savings account that accepts paypal in the Philippines.
  • Create a Blog! - This is where you earn cash as you blog. The best place that accepts most of those advertisements and paid posts as well as customize your page for your pleasure would be… you guessed it right, Blogger/Blogspot. But since I already had one (with a lot of entries at that) my admin purchased a domain for me. She bought a domain at Wordpress.

Note: Your blog should meet certain requirements imposed by different pay per post sites (e.g. blog must be 3 months old, must all have original content, etc.).

  • Apply for a Dneero Survey Account – This isn’t much but it can be handy at times. You can only get a certain amount for every survey you take and post to your site. It doesn’t hurt to earn some while taking surveys.
  • Apply for Google Adsense – This is where most people with a website (with high traffic) earn their moolah. You just have to copy and paste the codes and place them on your site. For every click *ehem* for every VALID click, you get a few cent’s worth of revenue.

By the way, don’t ever, ever, ever, EVER, EVER!!! click on your own ads. I can’t stress it more.

  • Apply for Paid Post Sites - Where I earn most of my income through blogging since in my blog, I more or less advertise different products.

I’ll be writing posts with better detail of the thing I mentioned above.
