because of blogging, I was able to buy a laptop

Guys, let me introduce to you my new bebe!

I used to envy bloggers who were able to buy something out of the blog money that they were able to earn. Come to think of it, I used to envy bloggers who were able to earn blog money. period. That’s why I’ve always wondered how it would be like to be part of those people who were able to get their laptop or something else out of the craft they made online.

Although this was paid using credit, I’m able to get this new baby using my blog money. I never thought this would happen to me but it did! It’s such a nice feeling to be able to reap your rewards after some hard work, perseverance and a lot of patience.

I hope I don’t sound too proud, but I just want to let other people know that it is indeed possible. Hope we all get something out of our blogs!

    One question, Just how do you make money from blogging? I blog but don’t make any money, at least not at the moment. Do you write blogs for other people, or what? Just curious! I am very happy that you are earning income from your blogs and that you got a new laptop. Good for you my friend. This is why we are in this business, right? To make money? Maybe you will get other things in the very near future from your hard efforts. Good luck with all your blogging!

  3. Eddie Garcia: Hi Eddie, I build up my blogs and apply for paid advertisements in different marketplaces. Sometimes I blog about a certain topic that an advertiser wants. I’ve also earned through placing ads in my posts. Thank you, this online income is very helpful for me since it’s paying for my education too. Thanks for the comment Ed! :)

  6. Good for you! I had $800 from blogging that was to go toward a laptop and it went for Christmas instead. Then I had $500 and before I could get the laptop, my wife bought an HDTV and $500 was my half share. Now I have almost $400 and am keeping quiet…still looking for that laptop. My blog earnings come from: Today.com (two blogs), Project Wonderful, Adsense and Adbrite, Text-link-Ads, Widgetbucks, and shareasale. Totally worthless have been Performancing Ads and Pepperjam.     I stumbled upon your Soloflight blog when I was searching for some information about Siquijor. Been there last week and I’m posting some pics in my own blog which is kinda similar with your blogs. You know, making money through blogging and stuff like that. I’m a freelancer and I make money by creating blog entries for other people. My paid advertisements don’t generate much income. Kindly visit my blog and see if you can give me any suggestions?

    Love your laptop. As for me, my first salary went to a Samsung Omnia. I regret buying the Omnia since I only used it for 2 months and then a friend of mine vomited on it while we were having a party and alas, the mic and speakers were busted. How cruel is that, huh?

  11. Faith M.: whoa, long comment! hehe. It’s nice to be able to earn extra income out of the money that you make for doing the things you like to do. Actually, I’m still a novice still when it comes to earning as much online so I don’t really have that much advice except to wait for opportunities after you’ve applied for those paid advertisement sites. That’s where I usually get the income. Also, from Google Adsense; but for now, what I’m planning to focus is creating banner ads on my site so that advertisers can pay me without having people to click on it.

    So sorry to hear about your Omnia. You should take it to a service center, I think it’s still under warranty. Anyway, good luck to us! :)

    It’s just because I can totally relate to your topics.

    Been reading your blog and I can also relate with upgrading WordPress platforms. I’m still using frikin’ 2.5. I’m scared to upgrade it since I’m a noob at web interfaces, codes, and those techie stuff. I’m afraid that if I follow the instructions in upgrading to 2.7, my website might crash and I have no way to revert it back.

    Waiting for a good soul to come by and help me upgrade it.. :P

    Try using 2.7 na. Have you tried downloading the instant Upgrade plugin? I use this one plugin located in this link: http://www.zirona.com/software/wordpress-instant-upgrade/

    You don’t have to worry about the ftp and such. It’s automatic. hehe. nagplug ba. Just make sure that you have a back up of all your posts and files. I was also hesitant to upgrade before but it was seamless when I was able to finally do it. Speaking of back ups, I need to update my blogs. hehe

  14. darn it.. i was almost ultimately happy about this plug in. this line crashed my hopes:

    “You should not use this plugin when you installed WordPress from third party sources.”

    I’m using 000webhost as my hosting site. They have the fantastico instant installation so I used that for my platform.

    Any other ideas on how I can upgrade my platform without the (FTP, HTML, PHP, codes, etc..) hassle?
