Just wanted to create this entry in order to list down my Danvil Plans entries in this blog. In conclusion, I don’t think this is a scam considering that I got my money back. But then again, I hate their way of selling. ‘Nuf said. Here are my entries.

In the end, what’s important for me is that I got my money back and they gave me back my money. Again, to Danvil, I understand that you’re just doing business and it’s still up to us, consumers to decide what we want to do with our money. But please do stop the hardselling that leads to insults when things don’t go according to your plan.

PayPerPost and SocialSpark, both are under the same umbrella (IZEA) but both have different ranking categories.

PayPerPost is the first blogger-advertiser marketplace that provided me some good opportunities to earn extra income. It’s one of the more known marketplace that everybody (well, every blogger who wants to earn money while blogging) knows. But it largely depends on the PageRank for its requirements for bloggers to be able to bid for tasks or opportunities. The problem with me is that I rarely have any website that has at least have a PR of 1. Want to know more about PageRank? Visit my blog entry about it.

SocialSpark is also part of IZEA wherein it is more of a networking site that also has blog opportunities for you to write tasks for advertisers. However, you can also add friends to your network, leave comments and build your profile (hence, social). The tasks here are wider and has a bigger scope considering that you can take opportunities that require you to post links of advertisers, sponsor reviews etc. The great thing about this is that it relies on RealRank as its basis which defies Google’s standards.

Now what’s the difference between RealRank and PageRank? I don’t know yet. hehe. All I know is that RealRank is more on the traffic while PageRank is more on Google’s way of looking the value of your site. I’ll probably research more about it so I can blog it next time. I’ll probably include the Alexa Rank with the entry next time.

Anyway, of PayPerPost and SocialSpark, I’ve been getting more tasks the past month of the latter since the PR of my sites really dropped to zero, that’s why I seldom have opporunities in the former. Nevertheless I’m happy that I’m getting some tasks to keep paying the bills.

The past few days I’ve been relying on the company’s computer lounge for me to get updated with my emails and blogs. You can just imagine how I missed my hp laptop. I had it reformatted by one of the IT guys I know because I wanted a Windows XP installed on it and remove the previous OS which was a Vista Home Basic. The previous operating system was really upsetting because of how upsetting the performance was for its slowness… really slow. So it was taken away from me for 2 days that felt a little longer than that.

I think we’re all used to how the XP system operates that’s why I was really happy to have it in my laptop considering that when I bought, the salesmen said we couldn’t put anything aside from a Vista in it because of its platform being customized for that OS.

But then, I had good IT colleagues with me and they really used their resources to locate the drivers and fixes. To think they only wanted a bucket meal from KFC as a payment. I was really satisfied cause it was worth it! Now I just have to look at more opportunities online in order to work more. I’m happier now with the way things are going. At least now I know who and where to turn to for help with my software related issues.

Good to have it back.

Like what I’ve discussed before probably in some other blog, I’ve always wanted to be part of media and communication when I’d finally be able to do my job. Although I love Math, I am more inclined to the arts and technology. I wish to be better at my skills in photography and web designing. I would like to be invited in an event so I can talk about it or capture moments that are special in other people’s lives and then set up sites that will serve as their memorable souvenir. Definitely, I want to get paid while practicing these passions if mine.

Only problem with me is that I solely rely on experience when I could also take advantage of Elearning courses online that will adde to the technical knowledge that I would need to become better at my craft. Learn.com actually has some useful short courses that would really be helpful for a person like me.

All I have to do is follow this course set-up.

It would be really nice to put into practice and earn what you love doing. I know someday I’ll be able to do the things that I love and make more moolah than what I already have.

I just want to be reminded of the good things that this blog has given me which is what I want to show other people that it’s possible. Here are a few things that I’ve acquired and done through the money I made because of blogging.

Actually there are a lot more, like extra stuff that I can buy as well as trips in my country outside this region. I wouldn’t be able to go to these places or spend as much if not for this extra sideline that’s why I’m really thankful t have these. I will be working more and look for more opportunities online.

Mavenlink is an online community for people who have skills to have the opportunity to get hired for work by people or companies who want those skills to be utilized for their benefit. Basically it’s just a marketplace where people unite in order to make and do business which is pretty neat since us employees want jobs, and employers as well want employees.

It’s a mutual understanding for the two sides to negotiate and agree on a certain task depending on the project that is being presented and applied. I’ve actually come across on of these sites and I’ve been getting some short cash (because I haven’t been concentrating as much) for advertisers who require my blogging skills.

In any case, you can definitely find a number of good jobs/projects that are available. From designing a website, putting online content, looking for virtual assistants to transcribing data and my favorite, blogging. It has a variety of offers that you can find. This is really good as you can actually just work at your home if you have some good internet connection and a PC. All you need to do is acquire the skills needed and you’re good to go! Of course, you should apply in Mavelink first.

After I called Danvil and have confirmed that they already have my check for the policy that I enrolled, I had to find a way to claim the actual check. I couldn’t just go to Manila just for the check because it would be unwise as I don’t have enough money for the fare. I didn’t want to pay for it just for the sake of getting my money back. It would be a waster of time and money.

When I had the go signal, I was lucky to have a colleague at work who was willing to pass by the office of Danvil Plans in the Equitable Tower in Makati. All I had to do was print all the necessary requirements and then give it to colleague who went to their main branch.

The Monday that my colleague arrived at work, he gave me the check and I had it directly deposited to my bank account. I was so happy and relieved that I got my money back after about 3 months of waiting and processing the refund. Now I can just sleep soundly since I don’t have to worry about the money that I gave.

Still want to go back to CamSur because of being high from all the activities that we did and the fun that happened. It’s going to be such awhile until I can have the same break that I had. Right now, I’m just focused on saving my money to pay off old debts and maximize my time since I’m not yet in school. I want to make sure that I have enough cash so I can plan again what I’m going to do with my life. I have about 5 months to work things out.

In the mean time, I’ve been pretty exhausted as well as to how I’m going to pursue my job. Sometimes I just wish I could play some games and have an active lifestyle again. I’m really going back to the gym and I’m serious about it. One of the practices I’ve started is by having a diet plan set up for me by one of my colleagues who is also a yoga instructor. It’s already been two weeks and I feel good.

But I know I just need some exercise to add to the health and wellness. I remember that it gets really tiring and sweaty after a good workout. That’s why I do my best that I get a can of BluFrog energy drink with me to quench the thirst. It’s very good because unlike water, it replenishes all the lost liquid plus electrolytes that help me go through with the day. The company even has a contest wherein you can win cool prizes. All I want is to get my energy back to keep the drive going to reach my goals.

Yes I just did get back from a trip, a costly one too. But I enjoyed it and it felt like it was worth it so I don’t have any major regrets for being able to explore nature and have fun.

Now I’m back and I have to update my blogs and upload pictures and reply to comments and check out my mail. So many things to do, so little time. Will be looking for more paid opportunities online so I can get my hands on more cash.

My WTF Moment.

I need to rest and unwind from all the earning. Haha, as if I’m earning as much. I’m just glad that I really have this chance to gain some extra income because of this sideline. It helps pay the bills and give me time to pay off old accounts that require updating. I know I feel like I’m carrying the world on my shoulders but it helps lessen the weight which is pretty much helpful. But I still need to rest.
